Getting There

Bhuj Airport (BHJ) has daily flights from Mumbai (around 90 minutes) on IndiGo and Air India Express. The airport is small but easy; taxis to the centre take 15 minutes.

By train, Bhuj is the western terminus of a line that connects through Ahmedabad to Mumbai (around 16 hours), Delhi and beyond. The Kutch Express and Bhuj-Bandra Express are the main long-distance services. The station is 1.5 km north of the old town and reached by auto-rickshaw.

By road, NH-41 from Ahmedabad (around 6 hours) is the main route. Inter-city buses run frequently and the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation has a clean overnight service from Ahmedabad. Most travellers hire a car or motorbike in Bhuj itself to explore the surrounding craft villages and the Rann.
