Jamia Masjid Bhadarwah

The Markazi Jamia Masjid is the principal Friday mosque of Bhadarwah, located in the old part of town near the main bazaar. The mosque has served as the religious and social centre of the town's Muslim community for generations and continues to do so, with congregations that fill the courtyard on Fridays.

The building is notable for its regional architectural character — Kashmiri timber-framed construction adapted to the Himalayan climate, with a characteristic sloped roof and carved wooden details that distinguish the mosques of this region from those of the plains. It is not a major tourist attraction but is one of the most photographically interesting buildings in Bhadarwah for anyone interested in vernacular architecture.
