Maharani Temple is a small Shiva temple set above Gulmarg's main meadow, easy to spot because of its red roof and open position. It is not large, but its setting makes it one of the town's most recognisable landmarks.
The temple works best as a short walk while you are already in Gulmarg. From the rise you get a good feel for the meadow, the surrounding hotels, and the forested slopes that frame the resort.
