SPS Museum is one of Srinagar's main repositories for the history and material culture of Jammu and Kashmir. Its large collection includes archaeological finds, manuscripts, sculpture, coins, textiles, and other objects from the region's long and complicated past.
The museum is most useful near the start of a Srinagar visit, when the exhibits can give context to the old city, shrines, gardens, and mountain trade routes you will see elsewhere.
