AliBaba Cafe and Restaurant

Alibaba Cafe and Restaurant in Frazer Town is one of Bangalore's more distinctive dining rooms — the entire space is themed around the tale of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, with Arabian Nights decor that runs to carved wooden screens, lanterns, and murals evoking Persia. The restaurant seats forty (the number is deliberate), and the atmosphere in the evenings is warm and slightly theatrical.

The menu focuses on North Indian, Mughlai, and Middle Eastern dishes — good kebabs, rich curries, and freshly baked breads from the tandoor. Frazer Town has long been one of Bangalore's Muslim neighbourhoods, and the surrounding streets have some of the city's best biryani and kabab places if Alibaba is full. It is an easy auto-rickshaw ride northeast of the city centre.
