Bangalore earned the nickname "Pub City" decades before craft beer arrived, and the drinking culture here is genuinely one of the most developed in India. The craft brewery scene has grown significantly since the early 2010s, and Indiranagar and Koramangala are now lined with taprooms serving locally brewed ales, stouts, and lagers. The city also has a tradition of old-school Brahmin coffee houses that serve filter coffee in steel tumblers — a very different experience, and just as worth seeking out.
