The Barid Shahi Tombs belong to the dynasty that ruled Bidar after the Bahmani state broke apart. They are less famous than the Bahmani Tombs, but they help complete the city's political story: Bidar did not simply fade after the Bahmani period, it became the capital of one of the Deccan successor states.
The complex is a good stop if you have hired an auto for the day. Expect a quiet site with domes, arches and a little neglect, rather than a polished monument with interpretation boards.
