Coorg Cuisine sits on the bazaar end of Madikeri and is one of the safest bets in town for a proper Kodava meal — pandi curry with kadambuttu, noolputtu with chicken curry, or a thali that runs you through most of the local specialties at once. Plain dining room, no atmosphere, but the food is the point.
The kitchen will adjust the heat down on request, though pandi curry is meant to be tongue-numbing. Open lunch and dinner, expect to pay 300-500 rupees a head.
