Sravanabelagola is an active Jain pilgrimage centre with two hills, dozens of temples, and one of the most remarkable monolithic sculptures in the world. Allow a full day to climb both hills properly; a half-day is enough if you only do Vindhyagiri. The 614 rock-cut steps to the top are manageable for most people, though they are bare stone and can be hot in summer.
