Parthasarathy Temple is a Krishna shrine near Guruvayur, built with its main sanctum in the form of a chariot. The image shows Krishna as Parthasarathy, the charioteer and teacher of Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita.
It is a quieter stop than the main Guruvayur temple, but worthwhile if you are following the area's Krishna shrines or want to see how the epic story is worked into temple architecture.
