Getting There

Indore is served by Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport (IDR), about 8 km west of the city centre. It is a busy domestic hub with direct flights to Mumbai (1 hour), Delhi (1.5 hours), Bangalore, Hyderabad, and several other Indian cities. A taxi or auto-rickshaw from the airport to the centre takes around 20–30 minutes.

By train, Indore Junction is well connected to most of India. The Intercity Express and Shatabdi services cover Mumbai (12–14 hours), Delhi (16–18 hours), and Bhopal (3–4 hours). For Mandu, buses depart from the main Sarwate Bus Stand.
