The Ambassador Ajanta Hotel on Station Road is one of the city's older established hotels, and its bar is one of the few comfortable licensed drinking spots in Aurangabad. It is frequented mainly by business travellers and tourists rather than locals, and the atmosphere is low-key and reliable: cold beer, basic cocktails, and a short bar snack menu. The hotel restaurant is also a decent backup for dinner if you want something more familiar. Not atmospheric, but functional and air-conditioned — useful on a hot afternoon after a long day at the caves.
