Kenesseth Eliyahoo Synagogue

Kenesseth Eliyahoo Synagogue, often called Mumbai's Blue Synagogue, was built in 1884 by Jacob and Albert Sassoon in memory of their father, Eliyahoo David Sassoon. The blue-and-white exterior and Gothic-Victorian details make it one of the most distinctive religious buildings in the Fort area.

Inside, look for the stained glass, patterned floor tiles, women's gallery, and the ornate ark facing Jerusalem. It is an easy addition to a Kala Ghoda or Fort architecture walk.
