ISKCON Temple Juhu

The ISKCON (Hare Krishna) temple in Juhu — officially the Radha Rasabihari Temple — is one of the largest and most visited Hare Krishna temples in the world, opened in 1978. The complex was inaugurated in part by George Harrison, who was a devoted supporter of the movement. The main shrine contains beautiful brass and marble deities of Radha and Krishna, and the prasad (blessed food) distribution here is renowned across Mumbai.

The temple's restaurant serves pure vegetarian food at very affordable prices; the weekend brunch is particularly popular. The complex also houses a guest house for visitors wishing to participate more deeply in the spiritual programme. Evening aarti (prayer ceremony) with singing and lights is held daily and is open to visitors of all faiths.
