Kamala Nehru Park sits at the highest point of Malabar Hill, adjacent to the Hanging Gardens, and offers the finest panoramic view of the Marine Drive arc and Back Bay in Mumbai. The park is terraced across the hillside with children's play areas, flower beds, and shaded benches. At sunset, the horseshoe of Marine Drive lights up below, a view that has become one of the iconic images of Bombay.
The park is primarily a local neighbourhood green space rather than a major tourist attraction, but the evening view from its upper terrace is spectacular enough to justify the visit. It connects to the Hanging Gardens next door, where topiary and gardens make for a pleasant stroll. Both parks are free to enter and are open from early morning.
