Raigad is essentially one great fort and the spectacular landscape it commands. The main complex is large enough to occupy a full day — palace ruins, gateways, watchtowers, temples, and the cliffs that made it impregnable. The Murud-Janjira island fort is a separate excursion off the coast and pairs well with a beach day at Murud.
