Getting There

Jalandhar City Junction is one of the main stops on the Delhi-Amritsar line, with frequent fast trains in both directions. The Shatabdi Express from Delhi takes about four and a half hours; the Vande Bharat is faster. The station is in the old city, walking or auto-rickshaw distance from the central hotels.

The nearest airports are Amritsar's Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International (90 km, about two hours by car) and Chandigarh (160 km, three hours). Adampur airport, on the eastern edge of Jalandhar district, occasionally has scheduled flights but is not reliable.

By road, Jalandhar sits on NH1 (the Delhi-Amritsar Grand Trunk Road) and is well connected by interstate bus to Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Jammu. The Saheed Bhagat Singh Interstate Bus Terminal in Jawahar Nagar handles most long-distance services.
