Jalandhar's main multi-purpose stadium, with a capacity of around 18,000, used primarily for hockey and football but also a regular venue for state-level athletics and political rallies. India's national hockey team trained here before several major tournaments. The pitch is artificial turf, replacing the natural surface in 2007.
It is not a tourist attraction in the conventional sense, but if there is a domestic match on — particularly a hockey fixture — it is worth attending. Tickets are inexpensive and usually available at the gate.
