Standing on a small island in Gaib Sagar Lake, the Badal Mahal — "cloud palace" — is a three-domed white pavilion that the Dungarpur royals used as a summer retreat and music room. It is small, photogenic, and best seen from the shore at sunset.
Access by boat is occasionally arranged through the Udai Bilas Palace; otherwise it is admired from across the water.
