Dungarpur has no airport or railway station of its own. The nearest airport is at Udaipur, about 110 km north, with daily flights from Delhi, Mumbai, and Jaipur. The nearest major railhead is at Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh, roughly 80 km to the southeast.
Most visitors come by road from Udaipur. State buses run regularly and take about two and a half hours on the NH-8. Private taxis can be hired in Udaipur for a more comfortable ride. Once in town, cycle rickshaws and auto-rickshaws cover the short distances easily.
