Udaipur, 110 km north, is the natural pairing with Dungarpur and the easiest day trip in either direction. From Dungarpur you can also push south into northern Gujarat — Ahmedabad is reachable in around four hours — but it is more rewarding to stay local and explore the surrounding Bhil villages, Deo Somnath, and the Beneshwar Dham confluence.
