The nearest railway station is Abu Road, 27 km away and 1,000 metres below at the foot of the mountain. Trains run from Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and Udaipur. From Abu Road, shared taxis and state buses climb the 24 hairpins to the town in about an hour. The road is sometimes closed in monsoon when landslides shut sections.
The closest airport is Udaipur (190 km, 4–5 hours by road) — fine for a domestic connection but you will need to break the journey. Ahmedabad is a similar distance south.
