Mount Abu's appeal is partly the cool air and partly a remarkable concentration of religious sites in a small area. The Dilwara Jain Temples are the singular reason most outsiders make the climb up the Aravalli; the lakes, viewpoints, and pilgrimage centres on the plateau itself fill out a relaxed two- or three-day stop.
