Dwarikadhish Temple

The Dwarikadhish Temple stands near the lake embankment and is dedicated to Lord Krishna in his form as the "King of Dwarka." It is an active place of worship visited by local devotees throughout the day, particularly at dawn and dusk when the priests perform aarti — the ritual of lamps and bells offered to the deity. Visitors are welcome to observe or participate in the ceremonies.

The temple architecture is typical of the Mewar region: whitewashed walls, a shikhara (tower) rising above the sanctuary, and a courtyard shaded by a peepal tree where worshippers sit and rest. The interior is modest but atmospheric, fragrant with incense and bright with offerings of marigolds and rose petals.

Combined with a walk along the Nauchowki embankment, a visit to the Dwarikadhish Temple gives a rounded sense of the religious and cultural life that has grown up around Rajsamand Lake since its creation in the 17th century.
