The best time to visit Rajsamand is between October and March, when temperatures are comfortably mild and the sky is clear. Mornings and evenings at this time of year are particularly beautiful, with mist hovering over the lake and the marble pavilions catching the golden light.
April and May are hot and dusty, with temperatures often exceeding 40 °C, making sightseeing uncomfortable. The monsoon arrives in June and lasts through September; the lake fills dramatically and the surroundings turn green, but roads can be affected by flooding and humidity is high. If you are coming purely for the lake at its fullest, the post-monsoon period in October is ideal — the water level is high and the weather has begun to cool.
