Upasana Griha, the prayer hall, is one of Santiniketan's most recognisable buildings. Its coloured glass, simple form, and quiet setting fit the town's Brahmo and Tagorean ideals better than a grand temple would.
It is usually visited as part of the regulated campus route. Even from outside, it helps explain why Santiniketan is a landscape of ideas as much as a collection of sights.
