The southwest coast is where you'll find the most dramatic cliffs and viewpoints. The best approach is to combine two or three sites in a morning — Kelingking, Broken Beach, and Angel's Billabong are within a few kilometres of each other — and then recover with a swim at Crystal Bay in the afternoon. The roads are an adventure in themselves: steep, sometimes unpaved, and prone to sudden drops.
