Getting There

Sumedang sits on the main road between Bandung and Cirebon, roughly 45 kilometres east of Bandung. Most visitors arrive by road.

From Bandung: Angkot (shared minibuses) run regularly from Bandung's Cicaheum terminal to Sumedang town, taking around an hour to an hour and a half depending on traffic. The Bandung-Cirebon toll road bypasses the town centre, so if you are driving, take the older national road to actually pass through Sumedang rather than the highway. Buses between Bandung and Cirebon also pass through and will drop you at the town's main terminal.

From Cirebon: Buses and shared taxis cover the two-hour route west. Sumedang is a natural midpoint stop on the Cirebon-Bandung journey.

Sumedang has no train station. The nearest rail connections are in Bandung to the west and Cirebon to the northeast.
