The closest traditional Dani settlement to Wamena — a thirty-minute walk south — and the site of the Pilamo Adat (cultural museum), a small ethnographic display of Dani tools, weapons, and ceremonial dress. The museum is housed in a traditional honai-style building.
Wesaput is the easiest of the perimeter villages to combine with a half-day in Wamena. Continue on through Wesaput to reach the Pugima footbridge and the longer hike east.
