Hilisimaetano

A traditional village near Bawömataluo with a long avenue of omo hada houses and a quieter, less-visited atmosphere. The architecture is the same Nias hill style — high pillars, scaled roofs, carved facades — but without the steady trickle of tour groups that arrives at Bawömataluo most mornings.

Stone jumping is sometimes performed here too, often on request rather than schedule. The village makes a good half-day extension if you have already seen Bawömataluo and want to see how an everyday Nias settlement runs without the staging.
