A horseshoe of pale sand wrapped in palms at the southern tip of Nias, about twelve kilometres southwest of Teluk Dalam. The bay has two faces: the calm inner curve, good for swimming and idling, and the surf-famous outer corner where the reef break known as The Point throws up the most consistent right-hander in Indonesia.
Surf season runs roughly June to October, when southwest swells push through the Indian Ocean and the wave can hold double overhead. Outside those months the bay shifts into a quieter mode — empty beaches, small warungs serving fish and rice, and a row of family-run guesthouses along the sand. Even non-surfers come here just to sit and watch sets roll in against the headland.
