Belvoir Fortress is a well-preserved Crusader stronghold on a ridge above the Jordan Valley. Built by the Hospitallers in the 12th century, it used a concentric defensive plan with walls, towers, and a moat on three sides. The ruins are worth the trip both for the military architecture and for the wide views over the valley.
