When to Go

The Jordan Valley runs hot in summer: July and August temperatures regularly exceed 40°C, and the national park site is fully exposed. Spring (March–May) and autumn (October–November) are the best times to visit — warm enough for swimming at Gan HaShlosha, cool enough to walk the ruins comfortably. Winter is mild by Central European standards but can bring rain and occasional cold nights.

Passover and Sukkot holidays bring heavy Israeli domestic tourism; expect crowds at Gan HaShlosha in particular and book accommodation in advance if visiting then.
