Bethphage is a Christian pilgrimage site on the eastern side of the Mount of Olives, traditionally linked with the start of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. The Franciscan church here marks the place where he is said to have sent disciples to find the donkey for the Palm Sunday procession.
It is not one of Jerusalem's grand sights, but it makes sense as part of a Mount of Olives walk. Each year a Palm Sunday procession begins here and follows the slope down toward the Old City.
