By plane — Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) near Tel Aviv, 50 km west, is Israel's main international gateway. Sherut shared taxis run 24 hours (including Shabbat) direct to Jerusalem for a flat fare; the fast train runs from the airport to Yitzhak Navon station in West Jerusalem in about 25 minutes.
By train — The high-speed line from Tel Aviv reaches Jerusalem in 35 minutes. Yitzhak Navon is the terminus. No trains on Shabbat.
By bus — Intercity buses from across Israel run to the Central Bus Station on Jaffa Road, near the western entrance to the city. Egged is the main operator. No buses on Shabbat.
