Hurva Synagogue

Hurva Synagogue is the landmark synagogue of the Jewish Quarter in Jerusalem's Old City. The first synagogue on the site was built in the early 18th century, and the building has twice been destroyed and rebuilt.

The present synagogue opened in 2010, restoring the high dome that once dominated the quarter's skyline. It is worth a stop while walking between the Western Wall, the Cardo, and the other lanes of the Jewish Quarter.
