Diana is one of Nazareth's most famous restaurants, a long-running family operation that has been feeding pilgrims, tourists, and local families for decades. The kitchen specializes in traditional Palestinian dishes — lamb on the bone, stuffed vegetables, slow-cooked stews, and an excellent maqluba (upside-down rice and lamb dish). The mezze that arrives before the main course is generous enough to constitute a meal on its own.
The setting is relaxed and hospitable; the staff are used to international visitors and happy to explain unfamiliar dishes. Book ahead for Friday lunch, when the dining room fills with Arab families from across the Galilee.
