Takuboku Shinkon House is a small preserved residence connected with the poet Takuboku Ishikawa. He lived here briefly as a newlywed, but the house gives a quiet, concrete link to one of Morioka's best-known literary figures and works well as a short stop for visitors following the city's cultural sites.
