Sankyozawa Electric Centennial Museum marks one of Japan's early hydroelectric power sites, with a working demonstration plant and old turbines still on view. Most interpretation is in Japanese, but the machinery is easy enough to appreciate, especially if you like industrial history or need a quieter stop near Sendai's western hills.
