Jasmine House is a cafe and wine bar in an old stone villa in Jabal al-Luweibdeh, with a garden terrace that is one of the most pleasant outdoor sitting spaces in central Amman. The clientele is a mix of Amman's artists, NGO workers, and anyone who knows about it — it is not heavily publicised but well-established in the neighbourhood's social life.
The cafe serves good coffee during the day and transitions to wine and light food in the evening. The garden, with its jasmine and fig trees, is the main draw in summer. The atmosphere is calm and relatively private — a different register from the busier Rainbow Street cafes a few minutes' walk away.
