Rabat Abdul Khan Mosque

A 16th-century mosque tucked into the streets at the eastern foot of Sulaiman-Too, the Rabat Abdul Khan is one of the oldest standing buildings in Osh. The structure is modest — a low brick mass with a simple courtyard — but its dome and the small adjoining cemetery have a quiet historical weight that the larger Soviet-era buildings nearby lack.

It functions as a working mosque, so dress modestly and remove shoes before entering. Visits between prayers are best; ask a caretaker for permission rather than wandering in unannounced.
