The Talat Sao (Morning Market) is Vientiane's central market, a sprawling covered complex where you can find everything from Lao silk and jewelry to electronics and household goods. Despite the name, it is open all day. The surrounding streets have cheap food stalls and money changers. A modern shopping mall adjoins the original market building.
