Kaslik is the upscale commercial district on the northern edge of Jounieh, stretching along the coast toward Zouk Mosbeh. It has the densest concentration of restaurants, bars, and cafes outside Beirut, packed along the waterfront and in the streets behind it. For eating and nightlife, Kaslik is where most Lebanese come when they head north from the capital.
The seafront promenade in Kaslik is one of the better places for an evening walk in the area, with restaurants and cafes spilling onto terraces above the water. The nightlife here is lively and loud on Thursday through Saturday; during summer the outdoor spaces fill quickly and booking ahead is advisable. In winter many venues shift to interior spaces but remain busy.
