The Bangsar Sunday Market runs along Jalan Telawi 1 every Sunday morning from around 7 am until noon — one of KL's better wet markets for fresh tropical fruit, vegetables, cut flowers, and local kuih (traditional cakes). The market draws residents from across the surrounding neighbourhood and is considerably more local in character than the weekend markets at Publika or the Curve. Fish, meat, and produce stalls fill the shaded section; outdoor stalls further down sell ready-to-eat food and drinks.
Go early: the fruit selection is best before 9 am, and a breakfast of fresh roti, curry, and teh tarik from one of the stalls at the market edge is one of Bangsar's genuine pleasures. Parking is difficult on Sunday mornings; the Bangsar LRT is a ten-minute walk.
