One of Kuala Lumpur's main arteries, running northeast from the city center past embassy compounds, shopping complexes, and restaurants. The Ampang Park area near the junction with Jalan Tun Razak clusters several malls and is well connected by LRT.
The street is also the route out to Ampang town, an old tin-mining settlement now absorbed into greater KL. Along the way you pass the Petronas Twin Towers precinct — the towers technically front onto Jalan Ampang — and a string of mid-range restaurants popular with the local office crowd.
