The most prominent sight in Nyangshwe itself, Yadana Man Aung Pagoda is an unusual stepped, pyramid-shaped stupa rather than the standard bell-shaped Burmese form. Said to be the oldest pagoda in the town, it has a small museum attached with a collection of antique Buddha images, lacquerware, and royal regalia from the old Yawnghwe court.
It is a five-minute walk from any guesthouse in the centre and an easy stop on a wander around town. Quiet most of the day; busiest at dusk when locals come to make offerings.
