Haffa Souq is the best place to buy it — look for hojari resin, the premium grade from the Dhofar hills, which is pale gold or greenish-white and produces a clean, complex smoke. Vendors will light a burner for you before you buy. The souq also sells traditional silver jewellery, kohl containers, incense burners, and Omani textiles.
Al Husn Souq specialises in Omani silverware — traditional daggers (khanjar), jewellery, and decorated boxes. Prices are negotiable. For everyday needs, the Lulu Hypermarket is the main supermarket serving the city.
