Institute of Sindhology Museum

A museum at the University of Sindh campus in Jamshoro, across the Indus from Hyderabad, dedicated to all aspects of Sindhi history, music, literature, and material culture. The collection covers ancient Indus Valley artefacts, medieval Sindhi manuscripts, folk musical instruments, traditional costumes, and documents related to the cultural life of the region.

Getting there requires crossing the Kotri Bridge over the Indus — miniwagons run to Jamshoro from Hyderabad, and the campus is about 1.5 km from where they drop passengers. The journey is worth making if Sindhi history interests you; the institute holds material that is difficult to find anywhere else in Pakistan. The campus setting on the river bank is also pleasant.
