A historic haveli (merchant's mansion) in the old city that has been converted into a museum. Mukhi House was built by a wealthy Hindu merchant family in the colonial period and represents the architectural style of prosperous Sindhi merchants of the nineteenth century — elaborate wooden balconies, decorated facades, and internal courtyards. The haveli style reflects the Hindu and Mughal architectural traditions that shaped Sindhi domestic architecture.
The museum inside contains artefacts related to Sindhi culture and the history of the city. The building is notable as an example of a well-preserved pre-Partition mansion, most of which in the old city have either collapsed or been subdivided into unrecognisable housing. It is one of the few places in Hyderabad where the physical evidence of the city's diverse pre-Partition population survives.
