Do Darya — Two Rivers — is a strip of seafront restaurants and cafes strung along the coast road south of Clifton, the closest thing Karachi has to a waterfront dining district. The restaurants vary from upscale Pakistani cuisine to grilled seafood shacks, and the quality is uneven, but the setting carries everything: open-air terraces, salt air, and views across the Arabian Sea that remind you how much of the city turns its back on the water it sits beside.
The strip is busiest from around 8pm onwards, when Karachi's evening culture fully activates. Families, couples, and groups of young people move between restaurants and stalls, eating fresh fish by weight, drinking sugarcane juice, and watching the lights on the distant oil platforms flicker. It is noisy, sociable, and entirely characteristic of how this city actually spends its leisure time. No particular restaurant stands out consistently enough to recommend by name; walk the strip, follow the smells, and trust the places with the most occupied tables.
